Trump in Kenosha

President Donald Trump tells reporters in Kenosha he doesn’t believe there’s a problem with systemic racism in policing. The president toured the riot-tom city Tuesday. He says police are sometimes under tremendous pressure and don’t handle it well. Trump announced more than 41 million dollars in federal funding will be sent to Wisconsin for statewide public safety efforts. At the same time, Governor Tony Evers announced businesses affected by the unrest after the shooting of Jacob Blake will be eligible for no-interest loans of up to 20 thousand dollars. The state money can be used for cleanup and restoration, operating expenses, renting temporary space, payroll, and repair and reconstruction work.
