Packer news

Green Bay packers wide receiver Davante Adams isn’t sure whether he’ll play Sunday night at New Orleans. Adams left Sunday’s win over Detroit with a hamstring injury and hasn’t been practicing this week. He told reporters Wednesday that “It’s feeling better. I think we’re making good progress every day. But we’re just going to wait it out and see.” Quarterback Aaron Rodgers isn’t concerned about Adams. Number 12 said, “If he doesn’t practice, I would feel completely comfortable if he wakes up Sunday morning and says, ‘I’m going to play.” Saints Pro Bowl receiver Michael Thomas suffered an ankle injury in Monday night’s loss at the Raiders.

The Packers are adding some depth at the tight end position by signing Nakia Griffin-Stewart to the practice squad. The free agent rookie out of Pittsburgh signed with the Vikings but was released after training camp. Griffin-Stewart is six-foot-five and 252 pounds. He spent 2019 at Pitt following three seasons at Rutgers. He will wear number 80 for the Green and Gold.
