According to the Barron County Sheriff’s Department, a Barron County mailman was arrested earlier this week for possessing meth both at his home and with him on his route.
Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said on Monday, authorities executed a search warrant at a residence on Highway SS near Chetek where they found 21 grams of meth.
Fitzgerald said the owner of the home, Tim Wilson, 66, was not home but was later taken into custody while on his mail route.
Two more grams of meth were found when Wilson was arrested.
Wilson was booked into the Barron County Jail for possessing with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia, and was released Tuesday on a $10,000 signature bond.
Fitzgerald said the street value of the drugs is roughly $2,300.
