His Menomonie High School coach says Minnesota Vikings rookie quarterback Nate Stanley can be successful in the N-F-L. Stanley was a seventh-round pick in the 2020 N-F-L Draft after starting three seasons for the Iowa Hawkeyes. Mustangs coach Joe LaBuda says his former star has the physical tools, the work ethic and intelligence to do the job. LaBuda points out only 16 players in the history of the N-F-L scored higher than Stanley on the Wonderlic test. He’ll need to beat out either Sean Marmion or Jake Browning to earn a backup quarterback job with Minnesota – and his coach says he can do it.
