One of two men charged in an armed robbery and shooting in Eau Claire last December was sentenced on Tuesday.
Judge Emily Long gave Xavier Gentry six months in jail but stayed the sentence.
He also got a year-and-a-half on probation with absolute sobriety. Gentry and Antonio Wilson were accused in the incident at a home on Moholt Drive.
Police said Wilson went into the home to buy pot. After the deal concluded they say Gentry came in and told everyone to get down.
During a struggle, police said Gentry shot a man and a dog. Both survived. Wilson returns to court in September
