End Is Near

This is the final week for unemployed workers to receive the 600 dollars-aweek federal lifeline checks. Wisconsin residents still out of a job will still get their state unemployment benefits, but the congressional enhancement passed in March is coming to an end. More than 25 million Americans have been receiving the checks as part of the two-trillion-dollar economic aid package that was passed. Members of Congress are working this week on the next economic stimulus package, but no deal is expected before these payments end.
