Elizabeth Jacobson, a certified public accountant from Hayward, has been hired for the position of Barron city administrator, according to Barron Mayor Ron Fladten. Jacobson works for the Hayward office of the accounting and consulting firm of Anderson, Hager and Moe. She was offered the position out of a field of 24 candidates, and was one of five finalists to be offered in-person interviews by the city, Fladten said. Jacobson grew up in New Auburn and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, with a double major in accounting and management. She has been with the accounting/consulting company since 2009. Jacobson is expected to start her new job on June tenth. She succeeds Bob Kazmierski, who resigned earlier this year to accept an administrative position in his hometown of St. Croix Falls.
