Somerset Man Sentenced In Pipe Bomb Case

A western Wisconsin man who admitted to building a pipe bomb was sentenced to three years of probation.  In June, David Lee Johnson, from Somerset, pleaded no contest to possessing an improvised explosive.  He told police he made it because he feared people were out to hurt him. He is already serving a six-month sentence for marijuana possession.  When he is released, Johnson is ordered to maintain absolute sobriety, cannot enter bars and may not purchase any item that can be used to make an explosive.
