The man accused of killing three people in a crash along Interstate 94 last month made an initial appearance in Dunn County court Wednesday. Serghei Kundilovski, age 36 from California, is accused of killing three people in a crash along Interstate 94 last month. Kundilovski has been charged with nine felonies in this case, including three for first-degree reckless homicide.
He is still recovering from the injuries he suffered in the crash last month. A criminal complaint notes that troopers found two cans of air duster at the scene of the crash and Kundilovski, according to a blood draw, had ethanol and difluoroethane in his system.
A $300-thousand cash bond was continued, but Dunn County District Attorney Andrea Nodolf asked for tight restrictions on his travel, citing Kundilovski as a flight risk. Judge James Peterson ruled that Kundilovski must remain in Dunn or Eau Claire counties, while he recuperates.
