Brewers lose

The Milwaukee Brewers were held to a lone run on seven singles in Sunday’s 4-1 loss at Cleveland. That gave the Indians the edge in the weekend series, two-games-to-one. Indians starter Shane Bieber struck out 10 in five innings, but a lot of the post-game talk concerned an impressive play by third baseman Jose Ramirez from deep behind third base. Catcher Jacob Nottingham drove in Milwaukee’s only run. The disappointing results in Cleveland leave Milwaukee in third place in the National League Central Division standings, four-and-a-half games behind the Cubs. The Brewers are off today (Monday), play the Tigers in Detroit.
